Soon after Mak has grown up and got mature (as far as that is possible), I started dreaming about another dog - a bitch. When a friend invited me to join him when visiting litter from Tia and Mak's brother, Moss - I was simply unable to resist. It proved to be destined for little Mi to join our "pack". I had enough time for a puppy then, I really liked her from the beginning, so in July after my last exam we brought her home. She was by far the most well-behaved dog I have ever known. From her breeder in Šentjernej to Ljubljana she quietly slept at my feet in a car. The same happened during the night and days to come. She never let out a whimper, she almost never destroyed things when bored. Quite the opposite - she actually cleaned after me, should a paper handkerchief stumble upon her path.  After long and carefree summer we started visiting school on Silvia Trkman's courses, where Mi adored all the tricks and attention. Later we upgraded skills on BBh course with Polona Bonač, we have excelled at the exam, scoring all the points. Because we both love obedience, we started competing on Rally Obedience, where we won quite some races. Agility was on the list soon after, but unfortunately her right shoulder injury (OCD - osteochondritis dissecans) stopped us from continuing. She put through a successful operation and a good year rehabilitation. Early in autumn last year we were finally able to carry on with agility and we have already attended few races.  Even though immensely good and cuddled up indoors, she becomes fierce when she thinks it's playtime. She adores tug o' war and growls like a rottweiler at it. She is immensely voracious and always hungry (after sterilization it even got a bit worse). She tends to clean all forgotten and lost molecules of anything that is, or used to be, food. Even if already thourougly digested by other animals on walks... All in all she is my little girl, who always immediately obeys my commands, craves for new tricks, longs for hugs and ... kills for food.  |
